Office of the Executive Director

The executive director provides day-to-day administrative leadership for the 1,875 full-time and 846 OPS employees of Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The director serves at the pleasure of the Commissioners, and any new appointee the Commissioners select must also be confirmed by the Senate. 

Ken Haddad is executive director.

Within the Office of the Executive Director are:

  • Regional Operations,

  • Office of Information Technology,

  • Legislative Affairs,

  • Legal Office,

  • Office of the Inspector General,

  • Office of Strategy and Planning,

  • Finance and Budget Office,

  • Office of Licensing and Permitting, and

  • Office of Human Resources

Also included under the executive director’s direct supervision is the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute, headquartered in St. Petersburg.
